The week-end....

...included watching this game on TV.

Yay Lady Vols!

The Lady Vols won their first game in the NCAA Women's Basketball tournament!  Now they will play Creighton tonight for a chance to advance.

We had an opportunity to celebrate with this.

A birthday cake!

The Country Couple joined us for dinner on Saturday evening, and we had a belated birthday celebration for Country Man, whose birthday was on March 20th.  The cake is chocolate (the recipe has been on the blog before) with white cream cheese frosting.

Our Sunday also included attending our church services.

Palm Sunday.

This week leading to Easter is Holy Week.

I hope you enjoyed a good week-end and are ready to have a good week ahead.

Thank you for reading. I appreciate your comments.

  2. After spending the day shopping with my Mom and sister, we had out of town guests stay with us Saturday night into Sunday. Between the extra children and dogs, I completely forgot about March madness! Yummy birthday cake. Birthday blessings to your special young man.

  6. Oh, I can just taste that cake now!! I'm sure the Country Couple had a wonderful time with you and enjoyed the cake you sent home with them! As for that ball game, GO LADY VOLS!!! I think their "new" coach is doing a wonderful job of getting them to play their best, in most games. At least all the injuries are over now! Have a wonderful Monday! :-)
