New things....

Hello, everyone!  How are you on this final Friday of April 2020?  Have you been trying any new things during these safe at home weeks?

One thing I had never done before is order groceries to be delivered.  That has been a very new experience for me.  I suspect this is something that will continue for sometime into the future.  This has led to the practice of sanitizing the groceries that are brought into the house!  That is definitely a "new thing!"

Another thing I had never done before is order shoes online!  I think one thing that encouraged me to do so this time was that it was for a brand that I have felt comfortable with in the past.  I find it very exciting to open a package that is delivered to the door!  Of course, the box was placed in solitude in the garage until a couple of days later, just to be sure there wasn't anything virus-related lurking on the cardboard!  That is another "new thing!"

I will say that I'm very pleased with the shoes!

They have done well with the walking I've been doing around our yard!

Take care, be safe, stay well, and wash your hands!

  1. Good Saturday morning, Sister! I love the color of your new shoes! If you're ever able to have another Turquoise Table event, they'll be perfect and comfortable. Enjoy your "new things" as much as possible. I find some of my "new things" to be somewhat exasperating but necessary to be safe from this virus. Take care of yourself. Love you!

  2. Love your shoes, Nellie. We have been doing online grocery shopping, too. My only complaint is that they sometimes make substitutions with something I would never buy myself. But--oh well. lol

  3. Cute shoes, Nellie! Such a pretty colour. Yes, who would have thought, just three months ago even, that we would be disinfecting our food and mail? The times, they are a changing.

  5. Your new shoes are lovely. During Covid-19 I've been using what I have in the pantry and freezer and it's amazing how much money I save because there is no impulse buying. I give my very short list to my son and he brings only what is on the list which is only the basics but he couldn't find a single packet of yeast at our Co-op. That spot on the shelf was bare.

  6. Going food shopping is just about the only time we go out. But there are so few people here and sometimes we are the only people in the store!

  7. I used to order groceries once in a while, but now I hear there's a wait - you have to plan way ahead. So, I haven't bothered. But we just came back from the supermarket - the shelves are starting to look sparse in places.
