Do you know I still consider that to be the best part about school even now. I loved that part of the day.
I am sure your students loved it as much and maybe remember like I do. I wore out the library everywhere I have lived both in the U.S. and abroad. I have several thousand hardbacks here at home. All of them are old friends and I cannot part with them.

I remember when we had to learn to read Dick and Jane. Because we were brand new at reading it seemed so hard at first but after a day or so, it was a question of memory as much as anything and carrying what you learned (of course!) forward. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

Hope to see you before too much longer as my boy gains his life back. I had the hardest time deciding what two books to order. Given that my parents were raising 6 kids, they somehow always found the money to let us purchase these quality books. The most exciting day was when you saw the box holding your order next to the teachers desk. We had to wait until the end of the day to get them in our hands. Shear joy! Scholastic books greatly fueled my love of reading for life. Thanks for reminding me of simple pleasures.Ellen in Oregonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03484004145095198712noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6322931360530621321.post-74006558791363995652013-02-15T11:07:00.242-08:002013-02-15T11:07:00.242-08:00Reading is one of my greatest pleasures in life.Reading is one of my greatest pleasures in life.Bethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12020604933621899108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6322931360530621321.post-24527314069588487432013-02-15T08:15:00.211-08:002013-02-15T08:15:00.211-08:00Books have been a love of mine for as long as I ca...Books have been a love of mine for as long as I can remember. Of course, they soon began reading those books to me, and that pleased me greatly.

I do not notice anything "new" from your computer. Perhaps it is something that is noticeable only from your end...anyway, those roll-ups look just as delicious as they did when you first posted the picture and the recipe!
