I think it is sad that there is not more credit given to our military on a daily basis. Several of my uncles fought in WWII, and Bill's too; all in the Philippines, Germany, France and Italy, but unfortunately not one of them would talk about it. Bill served in Germany in the 60's and I joined him. I'll never forget all the buildings that were damaged in WWII and still not repaired after 20 years, not to mention Dachau, etc. We are indebted to all who served. As the mother of your Air Force nephew, I am very much aware of the many sacrifices that our military must endure, even today. We are fortunate that he is in a non-combat position, but it is very much a teamwork effort these days, with every position necessary to ensure that our nation is able to maintain a position of strength in the world. His wife, our daughter-in-love, was able to visit Normandy a couple of years ago, and she posted some sobering pictures of the living quarters those soldiers had over there, as well as a first-hand photo of that massive cemetery. We must never forget what our brave men and women have done for us. Thank you for this tribute today, Sister!Glendahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17030804555004881453noreply@blogger.com
