Something for thought....

Some of you may be familiar with the works of J. R. R. Tolkien.  He is best known for the "Lord of the Ring" series, though there are others to his credit.  I recently saw this quote by him, and thought it worthy of posting.

"If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold,

it would be a merrier world!"

                                                               - J. R. R. Tolkien

  1. He was a very wise man indeed! I have not read any of his books, although I would love to do so because I hear from others who have read them that they are brilliantly written and hard to put down! Have a fantabulous Friday, Sister!!

  2. Amen to that! He was very wise, wasn't he? Hope you are doing well and that you're having some good weather! Ours is rainy, foggy and gloomy today! But...that being said I must get to work! Have a blessed day!

  5. I haven't read The Lord of the Ring or any of J.R.R. Tolkien but it sounds like a good quote.
