Before summer ends....

Are you having a good September?  Has your weather actually hinted that fall is on the way, or have you still experienced the heat of summer?  We have finally ended our string of days with high temperatures over 90 degrees!  It is probably a good idea that I post a day or two on one of Summer's highlights.

When good friends were out-of-town for a week, they asked if we would gather the produce from their garden.  Wouldn't you know it?  That was the week the corn was ready!!!!  Everybody just waits for that good fresh corn, so we picked what was ready and kept it for our friends.  Well, when they returned, they told us to keep the corn!!

We decided to invite them to dinner where we served them all things corn!!!!

It is difficult for me to choose a favorite corn dish, but this would definitely be up at the very top!

It is a super appetizer platter!!

What is your favorite way to enjoy corn?

  1. I like corn muffins. When we were young and in school...the cafeteria served us squaw corn....oh my gosh I loved that stuff...I have only had it once since then. LOL Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  2. Oh, my goodness! Of course, I love corn on the cob, fresh, with LOTS of butter, no salt needed! LOL Since that's sort of messy, though, I really enjoy corn fritters, such as they serve at O'Neal's restaurant here. I could eat a full meal of those! Enjoy your day, Sister! Love you!

  3. I'm not really a corn eating person. I do like corn muffins and I do like corn on the cob but I don't like how it gets stuck in your teeth. Very rarely to I eat corn.
So nice to see you posting. I've missed you.

  4. Nellie, we love corn at our house. My husband is a fanatic about it in the summer. His favorite way is on the cob. My Mama made the best corn pudding that I love. Your corn fritters look delicious. xo ♥
