This was part of a college graduation gift from my sister in 1962! There were other pieces that have gone on to that "broken dish home." There are still a couple of pieces remaining....another dish like this one and a small oblong baking dish. I'll save those for a later blog!

ReplyDeleteYou have many happy memories to this set, but I am sorry this has happened. Can you repair it using Wabi Sabi? The Chinese honour broken dishes by repairing them with gold {maybe glue and gold paint?} so giving them a new lease of life.

ReplyDeleteThat is so sad, I have things like that from when I got married. I would be so sad if they broke. I have a bowl that one of my bridesmaid's Mom made for us. Its going to be 40 years old in April. I would be heartbroken. Maybe you can glue it?
