A bit of beauty....

This is a short post today.  I just want to share a little bit of beauty with you.

A nice refreshing spot for a picnic, from our trip to visit Country Girl.

Flowers from my Mother's Day gift.

A lily from a friend.

The last picture is of a hostess gift from a friend who came for a meal a couple of years ago.  I took it out of the pot and planted it.  This is the first time there has been a bloom.  I'm not sure what kind of lily it is.  Does anyone out there know?  Anyway, Boy Munchkin recognized its beauty. :-)

We still have high temperatures into the nineties here, and no chance of rain.:-(  The Husband has been watering the garden some for several days now.  The next post will feature something more of the garden progress.   In spite of the weather, we are enjoying a good harvest of green beans.

Thank you for reading.  I truly enjoy your comments.

  3. Your yard always looks beautiful, and these blooms are exceptional! I wish I knew the names of many of the flowers around here, but I'm afraid I did not pick up much from our grandmother, who was a real flower person! If you recall, she would water her flowers even when it was raining, saying that the rain didn't do them any good! Of course, I think she was just looking for something to do with her time. She did always have pretty blooms, so it must not have been too much water. Looking forward to your next post!

  4. It's booming here right now. I hope we get a good rain. That Lily is beautiful wish I could help but I have no idea what type it is. Is't it a miracle how when you least expect it a flower will bloom after being dormant for a long time.

Our weather has cooled a bit, so that's good. A bit. Time will tell, how long it lasts. But we still have had to water. that is, HE has been watering. ,-)
