I apologize for not having a "before" picture, but here is the "after - "
Trim was added to the edge of the mantle, and the same trim lines the rectangle shape between the mantle and the fireplace. The added decorative piece gives it a good finishing touch!
With the pretty spring weather we are currently having, the indoor projects are bound to come to a screeching halt.:-) I think we will be in a holding pattern now.:-)
Those little touches make the fireplace extra elegant. Enjoy every minute that you can outside!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Congrats on another project complete! Hope your Monday is going smoothly, Sister! :-)
ReplyDeleteMy Shug is working on our fireplace right now. The opening wasn't made big enough! He's trimming the 2x4's and walls back so we can gain 1 1/2 inches. Jeesh!
ReplyDeleteYour's looks great by the way!

That is so pretty. I like that. Yep, when it is so pretty outside it is hard to get excited about working inside.
ReplyDeleteYou got lots done though. I found my first tomato today. :)
Nellie, That trim work look wonderful. A nice shiny white finish ...that'll wipe down nicely too. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteNice. Outdoor projects are so much fun in the warm weather:) Hug B
ReplyDeleteThat looks so pretty Nellie. It's a really nice touch.
ReplyDeleteIt's been so nice here, I've outdoors all day picking small pieces of roofing and nails that missed the tarps when they tore the roofing off. I'm glad the grass is just starting to emerge because it would be difficult to find the nails on the lawn. I'm almost done.
Hugs,
JB
I like these little touches to a house. And there is nothing I love more in a house than a fireplace with character.
ReplyDeleteThat looks GREAT- Isn't it amazing what a difference a bit of "dress up" makes? xo Diana
ReplyDeleteVery pretty.
ReplyDeleteWe've been outside all day. It's been sunny and warm. : )
