That one is so different but very interesting. Thanks for sharing your cookbooks Nellie. I hope that you have a splendid day. The sun is still shining here and it makes me so happy.
Nellie, I look at every state and went back to Indiana to see what was cooking. I thought that recipe sounded very good. May have to try it. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
Looks like a very nice cookbook. I saw an exhibit of a collection of fund-raising cookbooks that included one book from every state. That would be a challenge!
Hi Nellie , Gumbo on the Bayou ,we call it our sweep the kitchen dish . Everything in the fridge goes . Thanks for the nice words for hubby's aunt , she is doing well and ley is in a walking cast . I have some catching up to do . Thanks again for your kind words . Nee :)
I'm in Florida, but I used to be in Illinois. Before I was in Illinois, I was in Maryland. I think I'll stop now, or this comment will continue all over the country.
Great fun post, Nellie! You're right on spot with Illinois and pizza, but you sort of missed the state I grew up in, KY. with burgoo, country ham and so forth. But then, the first 11 years of my life were in Ohio... And then there's Missouri and so forth. :-) All the food is good and you did it all justice. Take care
