Remember when I posted this?
North of Supposed to Be is a beautiful book - wonderful character development, and surprises/suspense that captivate the reader's interest. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book a couple of years ago.
It was a real pleasure to be able to meet the author - Marcia Ferguson - on the recent trip I took for UMW training. The training site was located in an area that was near where she lives, and she came by the hotel where I was staying!
What a treat to be her guest for lunch! Thank you, Marcia! |
Have you ever met an author of a book you have read?
Nellie, So glad you got to meet Ms.Ferguson. I want to know more about Mike Ditka's....was it in Chicago?? I know of a Ditka's there. I think everyone is having a hard time doing routine blogging. I am any more. Although I know my blog family has been my enjoyment and pleasure , so many times. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteHow exciting for you, Sister! I have indeed met an author whom I have enjoyed, but she's sort of off the grid, so I don't think you're familiar with Susan Shipe. She's been a very good friend, actually sending me a Kindle Fire one Christmas! Have a blessed day! Love you!
ReplyDeleteYes, I met Pat Conroy several years ago when he spoke in St. Augustine. He signed books for all of his fans and took his time about it. He spoke to each person and thanked everyone for being there. I was so sad when he died. I also met a blogger who has written several books.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
No, I never have.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to have met Marcia Ferguson, Nellie. I'm sure you enjoyed that meeting very much!
ReplyDeleteI have not met any authors other than the ones that are in my family. My daughter and son-in-law have both published books.
Have a great evening. ♥
How exciting! Always such a honor to meet an author in person! Of course I have a friend who has written several short story books 📚 One which was based on life living with MS and dedicated to Tom & myself! The other wasn't a book writer, but someone who wrote a column in the newspaper for years! That was an so special!
ReplyDeleteBlessings to your day..
