Here in the "sunny South," this is most unusual! These conditions bring about all sorts of closings in the area, so it appears that this will be a good day for staying indoors!
Still taking requests for the books featured in Monday's post! I'm checking the comments these days to be sure I don't miss any!
That little bit of snow wouldn't close anything here. Most everyone has snow tires on or studded tires on their vehicles.
ReplyDeleteI got some expensive Michelin Snow tires this late Fall and I drive in the snow before the snow plow has cleared the road. They are pretty good on ice too. They don't put much salt on the road anymore like they used to.
Around the driveway in icy condition, I use some de-icer that melts the snow quickly. We are so used to it and we are prepared. However this winter we've had more snow than usual and less ice.
I hope your snow will melt quickly and the roads will be good to travel.
Stay safe.
Hugs,
JB
Your view is much like mine, but the homes in your neighborhood look much nicer! We'll be staying in until later on and hoping for better driving conditions this afternoon. Be careful, Sister! Love you!
ReplyDeleteNellie, We are all freezing ....I can't believe what a snow you have. Even Texas is getting winter weather. I would stay in, but have a tax appointment with our tax people.Yikes ! I just hate taking the time to give my money away. LOL. We really like our tax man. So I will get a lunch out today. LOL no dirty dishes. That's a win. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeletewe will defrost on sunday and rain is on the way. i am afraid of what is going to leak!
ReplyDeleteugh- It is bad enough up here where we are used to it and expect it. We are still below zero out here on the bay this morning. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteOoh, Nellie I was hoping it was all cleared by now, but seems Mother Nature has different plans for us.
ReplyDeleteParts of our area are back to normal, others are still trapped in power-outages, ice and snows......isn't it all so surreal.
Stay safe and warm !
Hugs,
~Jo
That weather ought to keep hubby in... working on those projects! Perfect time for cooking, too. The extra heat in the house would be a good thing!
ReplyDeleteWe definitely understand in MI. We are used to the crazy winter weather though. Stay cozy!
ReplyDeleteWow what a bunch of snow!! That is just amazing. I hope it doesn't stay around very long. Winter is just wanting to stay around. We are finally going to get winter weather for March. :)
ReplyDeleteOh I wish we had proper snow like where you are!
ReplyDeleteStay warm, darlin'.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
A chilly 13 below zero here this morning and everything is still snow covered. I think it is suppose to be nice warm 40 on Sunday!!! : )
ReplyDeleteSNOW IN TENNESSEE!!! C'mon, I know your inner-frosty is happy :)
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE Daughters in England! I found your blog through Susan Branch's comment page. Such fun! We have snow too, but we're used to it. Blessings on your day!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to send you the book, Sara, but the "no-reply" on your comment that appeared in my Inbox doesn't let me send you an email response. There has to be a way for you to contact me confidentially with your address.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Susan Branch delightful?
