Blueberries....

It appears that we will have blueberries this season.  Several pictures follow to attest to this!

Often the mockingbird will debate with us about who deserves the best harvest. :-)  We just forward them on to this one -

- if there are any cherries remaining, that is.  The birds get these even before they ripen!  That is our bird feeder.:-)

  1. Those blueberries really do look promising, and I hope the birds will leave them alone so you and the Munchkins can enjoy picking and eating them! Have a great day, Sister! Love you! :-)

  2. Nellie, that looks like a bumper crop and I would buy some netting to drape over them to protect them from the birds. The birds have all day to fly and find other wild berries somewhere else. You might want to check it up online.

  5. That's a natural bird feed for sure! I remember how the birds beat us to the cherry trees. Lucky you with your own blueberries! Hope they leave you your fair share this season! :-)

  6. The Hurricane makes the most delicious blueberry jam. Years ago we went to a restaurant where they had blueberry ice cream. It was so good.

  7. How nice your blueberry bushes look!! It does look like you will have some berries if the birds don't win.
    Your cherries look nice too.

  8. Hope you get them before the birds! However, I figure you might be dealing with at least a little blue bird poop!

  9. Blueberries is the emblematic fruit of my region, the Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean. So much so that we are nicknamed Blueberries.

  11. Nellie, Thank you so much....I have never seen blueberries growing. Are there thorns like other berry bushes? I would net over these to get them for myself. :):) My daughter used to have a cherry tree and the birds were awful about eating them up. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
