Monday's Musings....

From The World According to Mister Rogers, a gift from a dear friend, are these words....
"As human beings, our job in life is to help people realize how rare and valuable each one of us
really is, that each of us has something that no one else has - or ever will have - something inside
that is  unique to all time. It's our job to encourage each other to discover that uniqueness and to
provide ways of developing its expression."

  1. Mr. Rogers was such a calm soul that few realize that he had a military career before he got that marvelous television program. Won't you be my neighbor? I think he caused a return to the cardigan, too! LOL These are some really good words to remember, Sister, and I thank you for sharing. Love you!

  2. Sister, I just double checked Mr. Rogers' military service, and I learned that it's an urban legend, and not true! Sorry to be misleading! I had even heard that he wore that long-sleeved sweater to cover tattoos from his "naval career!" LOL Oh, well....it was a good story anyway, and it takes nothing away from his wisdom!

  6. I loved Mr. Rogers and still think of him often. I saw one of his sweaters in the Smithsonian. He attended the seminary and decided to make children's television his ministry. His words demonstrate what a wise man he was. Let us encourage one another as the Bible says we should. You hang in there, my darlin'. That's my encouragement to you.

    Love,
    Janie
