We set out strawberry plants in the spring, hoping to harvest some in 2016 - and giving the rabbits a bit of happiness for 2015. :-) Surprisingly, we have been able to harvest a few berries this summer! Now, it is not a large harvest, but they were certainly very tasty!
Trivet - Longaberger
What a welcome surprise! Enjoy! Have a fabulous Friday, Sister!
ReplyDeleteNellie, It's enough for a scoop of ice cream. Yum. Hope you are having a great weekend. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteHarvests, however modest, are always welcome.
ReplyDeleteI love the plate they are on. I always think harvesting anything is nice.
ReplyDeleteStrawberries are my favorites. Three is better than 0.
ReplyDeleteLove the plate - it is a Longaberger one?
Guess you could use them on top of a slice of cheesecake to stretch the yummy a little and act as a filler.
ReplyDeleteA nice surprise for you! I noticed that our strawberry plants are reviving - don't know if we'll get anything.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice surprise! :) So sweet that a few berries were already growing this year. I hope you'll get lots and lots of them next year then :)
ReplyDeleteHugs to you,
Beate
Nellie, at least you got some strawberries out of your strawberry plants .They will be plentiful next year. Better get your recipes ready to use all those strawberries next year.
