A day trip....

Last Friday, The Husband announced we were taking a "mystery trip!"  As we proceeded on our way, the destination became more apparent, and I was happy to be able to see this.

Tellico Grains Bakery!

From time to time, the baker from this bakery is featured on a segment on one of our local television stations, and I had been curious to see where this was located.

While we were waiting on our sandwich order, I looked around.

A beautiful cabinet!

Herbs for sale.

Roasted Portobello Mushroom sandwich!

Sliced chicken on pumpernickel!
Isn't that a wonderful cabinet in the second picture?

The mushroom sandwich was my choice, and it was delicious!  The Husband enjoyed his sliced chicken as well!

Of course, we came home with some goodies.

Cranberry Pecan Bread!

For the bread basket!
The bread was actually "yesterday's" bread and had a discounted price.  It has been really good!

Isn't that bat on the bread basket towel the cutest?  This will be fun to use, and is easing us into the season of ghosts and pumpkins.:-)

I hope you are having a good week.  We have had some cooler temperatures, more like fall, and that is really nice!

Thank you for reading.  I really appreciate your comments.

  2. Oh, that cabinet reminds me so much of one we had in the kitchen when we were growing up, with the flour bin on one side and space for many other essentials on the shelves.

I have never been to that bakery, but it does sound like a wonderful place to visit! Maybe we'll get ambitious one day and make that trip, too. Have a wonderful day!

  6. Oh what a wonderful surprise outing. Love the look of that old store.

The cabinet in your picture is called a Hoosier and I have one that looks just like it only the top if green instead of white.
I have no room for it in my house now so it sits in the tractor barn up at Happy Trails.

Cute Halloween crossed stitch napkin. It almost looks too good to use in a bread basket. Nothing wrong with day old bread, it looks healthy .
