A new week....

Today begins a new week, and it also closes out a month!

The view from our back door.

We have a very foggy morning here, as you are able to tell from the picture.

Thank you for your supportive comments on my last post.  The past week was certainly a difficult one due to the passing our Country Girl's father-in-law.  City Girl and the Munchomom family have been here, as well as many other out-of-town relatives and friends.  All have now returned to their own homes, and we are beginning to assume our normal daily routines.

On this day, I am busily working on that lunch for the adult day care participants and staff at our church.  After all, tomorrow is the first Tuesday already!  All about the menu, and even a recipe, in tomorrow's post!

Thank you for reading.  I really appreciate your comments.

  4. It is great to see you back at "work" this morning. We've missed you, although I totally understand why you needed to step away for a few days. There were other losses during that week that you haven't mentioned here, and it all combined to be somewhat overwhelming for you. My greatest concern is that you will not neglect your own health as you are caring so much for others! Just a little note here, too, because I seem not to be able to send emails this morning. I'll try to send some sort of explanation later, once I have figured out what's happening with that! Have a marvelous Monday, dear Sister!

  5. You know as you work to get back to normal, I am thankful you have food to cook. One thing after a hard thing like you have gone through this last week, I am always comforted by the washing of dishes and the doing laundry.
It always helps me so much to return to routine. I know it was good to have your family close, but tiring too. I hope you have a wonderful week Nellie, I will continue to pray for you.

  9. Hello Nellie...So very sorry for your family's loss. These times are never easy.

Got caught up on your posts. The pumpkin whoopies look good. The day trip, too, sounded like fun. And your Halloween decor is darling. Thanks for sharing.

I appreciate all your visits to my blog. Susan

  10. Hi Nellie, I hope that you have a more peaceful week.
I think that routines are very comforting in a way. It's something that you can do when your mind is engaged somewhere else moments by moments. A little memory here and there and you can still get the job done.

I hope that you have a great week doing what you like doing.
    Hugs,
    JB
