Welcome to October! This is the month so many of you have been anticipating all year, and here it is!
I have some "bits and pieces" that actually needed to be cleared away before September ended, but "better late than never."

A beautiful house as we were driving into Tellico Plains on that "mystery trip." |

These flowers were in planters along the sidewalk. |

An old home as we were leaving town. |

Looking down Main Street. The property on the right is for sale, but the chairs and tables have been left in place. |

A sign welcoming us to town. |

Beautiful field with hay! |

Have you heard of Benton's country ham or bacon? |

Crossing the river. |
The Husband and I believe we live in a beautiful part of the country! As you are able to see by the pictures, we were blessed with a gorgeous day for our trip.
Oh, we didn't buy a single thing in Benton's!:-)
Today is the day I take lunch to the adult day care at our church. On "Recipe Wednesday," there will be a dessert!
Thank you for reading. I really appreciate your comments.
Hi Nellie , indeed you do live in a beautiful part of the country , I enjoyed the day trip along with you , thanks for sharing :).
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful part of the country, Nellie. I have heard of Benton hams but have never had one. Hope the luncheon goes well. I know you will share the dessert with us- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteTellico Plains is a unique area, as many of the old homes are still kept in good condition while newer homes have been built because of the tourist attractions that take advantage of the river and all that goes with that area. I have never purchased any Benton's ham or bacon, but hope that the budget will allow such a purchase sometime! Have a wonderful day---it's another gorgeous one here! :-)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a lovely place. Now I am craving bacon! Lol
ReplyDeleteNellie, You do in a beautiful area. But I think we can find beauty everywhere...just about. Of there is all the mountains in eastern Tenn. I have never had that ham before. I really enjoy seeing all the sights you see on your trips. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
