In the previous post, I mentioned the activities of my week-end. It was once again time for a Conference UMW Executive Committee meeting, and I headed out of town almost two hours away for a series of meetings. On the way, I took time to stop here:
Oops! I didn't think the picture would come out so dark! |
This sign tells what is available inside. I apologize for the bad photography!:-( |
Pecans, cheese, stick cinnamon, mini-chocolate chips! Might there be some cooking planned soon? |
We continue to have lovely October days here. I believe rain has been mentioned in our forecast before the week's end, though, and cooler temperatures afterward.
Thank you for reading. I really appreciate your comments.
Is that an Amish store? I only ask because there are a couple of stores names Yoder's around here and they are Amish-owned. They have some amazing stuff!
ReplyDeleteNellie, As I read your post I actually thought the same thing as Optimistic Existentialist...Yoder is certainly Amish in northern Indiana. They have the same kinds of store...homemade and handmade. It's cloudy here right now. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteGood morning Nellie, What wonderful mini trips you take and thanks so much for letting me go along with you :).
ReplyDeleteHow very nice. I like all of the very nice goodies you bought.
ReplyDeleteI know there will be some great goodies! Please share the recipes with us, especially whatever you make with pecans.
ReplyDeleteOh, I am sure that you have marvelous plans for those purchases!! I find it very difficult to visit one of those types of stores without buying WAY more than I should, but the items are soooo tasty and (I tell myself) nutritious! Looking forward to a recipe or two before too long.... Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeletei love these kinds of trips. i will be making one on thursday.
ReplyDeleteOh, i love finding good treats! These all sound delicious!~
ReplyDeleteThe last few days have been lovely, havent they? I think autumn has finally arrived!
I would love a store like that. Looks like you are getting ready for some baking.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what recipes you make with your special ingredients. Pecans sound heavenly today.
ReplyDeleteThere are Yoder stores in Arthur IL which is an Amish community.
ReplyDeleteI see baking in your future and some nibbling on that delicious looking cheese.
Look at those clouds! What great sky pictures. Love your purchases...hmmm...Wonder what you are up to now! xo Diana

ReplyDeleteI too would love to have a store like that around here.
October has been so very nice and sunny but we are expecting some rain sometime this week.
Hugs,

Wow, looks like you found some great things! I love those lil shops! Our october has been so rainy and dreary.. Lots of records being broken and sugar beet harvest at a muddy stand still. Enjoy you evening!
ReplyDeleteOH My----I'd love that cheese and the pecans.... YUM...
ReplyDeleteHope you had a good meeting. Where did you have to go this time?
Hugs,
Betsy
I can't wait to see what you make with those ingredients! The skies in your photos looked so dramatic -- winter is coming!
ReplyDeleteWe've been having clouds and rain and finally a promise of some cooler weather. I know it won't last, but I'll take it while it's available!
ReplyDeleteI sense a recipe coming on and I'm sure it will make me hungry. Always does!
