Christmas is coming.....

.....and we have been making preparations by beginning rehearsal of these:

A new one for us!

Familiar words.

Humor about the Christmas season.

That shiny red notebook - and name tag.

The Women's Chorus from the Senior Center will soon have our fourth rehearsal with these selections.  We already have five performances scheduled in December for this program!  Busy days are ahead!

It was a little strange to be singing Christmas music in August.:-)  With only one rehearsal a week, though, that is what we must do in order to have the program ready by the first of December.

Don't worry!  We aren't trimming the Christmas tree just yet!:-)

Thank you for reading.  I really appreciate your comments.

  1. I would love to see your program. I think it will be beautiful!

  2. I suppose they say you can never start too soon :) Although we are having tropical-like weather today!

  3. Nellie, Have you ever caught yourself singing a Christmas tune in summer. I have done that..then think ,yikes, what is wrong with me. LOL. You know what they say about'll be in fine tune for Christmas.xoxo,Susie

  4. Oh, I am ALWAYS ready for Christmas music! I'm sure your group will be great, as always, and I look forward to hearing from you about some of those dates, as I always enjoy hearing you ladies. Have a great day and a good rehearsal today, Sister!

  5. I hope that you can persuade someone to take a little video of you singing with the choir. I'd love to catch a glimpse of your performance.
Nothing like Christmas music to put you in the mood.
December will be here in the blink of an eye.

  6. i like starting early so you can enjoy it longer!

  7. Yes, I remember when my husband sang, it would start so early to get ready for Christmas and since he sang in the Easter Cantata too, it always seemed he would just get finished with Christmas and start Easter. He loved it so much and I am sure you do too.

  8. I wish that singing was one of my talents. I'd love to sing in the church choir!! : )

  9. While I love the promise of cooler weather this time of year brings, it also brings the holidays I'm not so fond of. I do have some good memories of holidays from long ago... when I can remember them. *sigh

  10. Hi Nellie , it's good to get a head start , Xmas will be here before you know it , thanks for sharings :).

  11. I'm smiling at your Christmas music selections. What fun!

  12. LOL - I play Christmas music all year long - it makes me happy. Although I must admit only when I'm alone:)
