Do you remember this one? It was taken the night before the actual full moon. I was really optimistic that we would be able to view the full moon with a clear sky! Well, clouds rolled in that afternoon, and I felt that my hopes were dashed!:-(
However, around 7:00 that evening, this is what I was able to see.
You can see the clouds in the sky. |

This is the date of the Winter Solstice, the first official day of winter. Some of you have been having winter weather for a few weeks already! We are expecting rain here.
I wish you a good week-end. Christmas Day is fast-approaching!
Thank you for reading. I really appreciate your comments.
Terrific pictures, Nellie.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed a beautiful moon here as well... then I dreamed I met aliens in my backyard. A very strange dream.
Great pictures Nellie! We are under a winter weather warning here today with 100% chance of freezing rain, sleet, and finally snow. I will not be going out today.
ReplyDeleteGreat moon pictures Neillie.
ReplyDeleteHappy Winter Solstice.
Hugs,
JB
What a lovely Moon. I know I stood and looked at it and I didn't check Susan's calendar to see what it was called. That is a good name for a moon in December.
ReplyDeleteStay warm and safe.
What great pictures. The moon has been so bright around here. With all the snow on the ground and the moon light last night, it was like daylight outside at midnight. If that makes sense. It was so bright out.
ReplyDeleteWe really have had some beautiful moonbeams lately, and your shots are great!
ReplyDeleteToday would be my in-laws' 80th anniversary if they were still with us. We understand that they got a lot of teasing for getting married on the day that had the longest night! I don't know whether they planned it that way, but it made it easy to remember their special day. Hope your Saturday is going well!
We have practically summer here today. Thanks for the moon pictures. It's almost impossible to get good pictures of the night sky here. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteSuper shots of the moon. Great job!!
ReplyDeleteI'm all ready for Christmas.
Special programs at church tomorrow. Kids in the morning and adults at night. : )
