More than one....

There is more than one reason to remember today.  Not only is this the first official day of autumn, it is the birthday of my mother.

She is pictured above as a child....

....and here she is a little older.

Mother was born in 1908, so this would be her 107th birthday!  Happy Birthday, Mother!  All you taught me is with me daily!

  3. We never do get "over It," Do we? Even though My Mom has been gone 56 years, I still feel it maybe not as acute, but I feel the loss.
    Blessings to you today Nellie,

  5. Oh, our mother was truly special! Her childhood was not very good, but she certainly did make our childhood good in so many ways! She truly did teach us a lot, and would have been an excellent member of the teaching profession. Yes, I still miss her a lot, and there are times when I wish I could sit down and talk with her again. Thank you for these memories, Sister! I cannot even hope to be as good as she was!

  6. My Dad was born then too! Imagine! Mother was much younger than he when they married.

  7. My father also was born on the 22nd! In 1911. And did you know it's the birthday of Bilbo Baggins, too?
