Resources....

Now that Autumn has truly arrived - according to the calendar - there are some dependable resources I turn to for help.

This is an amazing book from one of my favorite people.  It is available on her website - susanbranch.com - and was reissued last year on the 10th anniversary of the first publication.

Also, from the same author, is Vineyard Seasons, and it is in this book that the following is found:

We all have our favorite ways to celebrate this season.  What are your favorite things about Autumn?

  1. Susan Branch can always be trusted to bring cheery ideas and lovely thoughts to any season! I'm sure your home is decked out for Fall, or it will be shortly. My favorite thing about Autumn is the cooler temperatures, followed by some wonderful family times as Thanksgiving "falls" in the same season. I hope your day today will be filled with good things, Sister! Love you!

  2. Nellie, I love your Susan Branch book. She is awesome with her stories and drawings. I like to attend the Earth Day Fest , which is this Saturday. I am hoping I can walk it with my daughter. Time to buy garden flags and candles. That's my favorite autumn thing to do...it used to be taking my girls to the Brown County state park for hiking and a picnic. I still have those wonderful memories of our good times. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  5. Hi Nellie,
I don't think we will see much fall until after Halloween. I do love the cooler nights and the longer evenings. I am always on the look out. Of course, cooking cold weather food is so much fun.

  6. The beautiful Fall foliage and trees turning vibrant colors in the fall is my favourite thing. Of course I love the pumpkins and fall colors and decorations, cooler temperatures and Halloween decorations kids in costumes but I really dislike that it gets dark so early.

That looks like an awesome book Nellie.
    Hugs,
    JB
