Ready. |
This is the first Sunday in Advent. In the Advent wreath, the first candle is either purple or blue. This is the day to light it. It is a symbol of Christ our Hope.
With the theme from our Advent By Candlelight message, are we "waiting" or "watching?" The scripture found in Mark 13:32-37 is recommended for reading today.
I send along wishes for a blessed Sunday to each of you.
Nellie, Enjoy your time with friends. Smiles, xo, Susie

ReplyDeleteWhile we do not formally observe the Advent season with the wreath and candles, we are always encouraged to watch and wait, for we do not know when our Lord will return! So happy to have that blessed Hope! :-)

ReplyDeleteI always love the Advent candles. It used to be my kids favorite thing each year. I still have wax on candle holders when little ones blew too hard. Such nice memories. Thanks for sharing Nellie.
ReplyDeleteOh how I love Advent. Hubby and I do our devotions every morning---but during Advent, they just seem even more special.

Betsy
