Do you ever feel that the pace of your life becomes too hectic? What do you do to regroup when....
......the clean clothes are overflowing the clothes basket,
We need folding! |
......the clock says it is time to think about dinner,
Time marches on! |
.......and you want to do nothing except enjoy this?
Escape! |
Well, I hurriedly prepared some chicken breasts for the oven....
No hands-on process here! |
......and prepared this tray.
Tea time! |
Dinner was served on time....
The Husband made potato wedges! |
....and those clothes? They were folded while watching the news!
Ready to store in the closet! |

We're still making progress with that shopping here.:-) After all, we DO still have two more weeks!:-) Seriously, I hope that will be completed before the week is over. Today? I'm playing bridge!:-)
As for everything else, it seems to be getting done bit by bit, day by day.:-) Perhaps I will share some of that with you in the next post.
Thank you for reading. I really appreciate your comments.
I love the idea of taking time to slow down and enjoy the season. It goes by much too fast. That laundry can wait!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a plan and it worked, Nellie. I hope you have a great day and enjoy your bridge! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteYou are one of the most well-organized people I know! Thankfully, you have a Husband who is not afraid of the kitchen, and you have discovered that many things can be completed from a seated position. Good for you! I'm sure everything else will be done right on schedule, and I surely hope you'll take lots of time to relax and enjoy the Season! :-)
ReplyDeleteIt looks very nice and orderly. I never know why I stress so much. Everything always gets done. What doesn't get done well, it maybe wasn't that important. I think it just looks like home in your blog today. Have a wonderful time playing bridge today.
ReplyDeleteSorry that you can feel a wee bit frazzled and rushed.... But, like you showed, it all worked out in the end. :-)
ReplyDeleteActually, I am lucky enough to not feel frazzled much. There is only the 2 of us here. He is the Chef.
We mainly get presents for the "Grands," and we know what's on their List, as it were. :-) For ourselves, we get a couple of things... But no pressure or worry about it.
Yes, I am lucky to be so un-frazzled. :-)

Since there is only me I rarely eat a really nutritious meal unless I am cooking for family. Your meal looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteNellie, Could you please come over when I am standing around scratching my head(butt) trying to think of something easy to fix for dinner. Thinking of different things to cook is hard for me at times. Boy I get sick of cooking...where is my good life, remember Calgon take me away?? LOL Smiles, Susie
ReplyDeleteEven though you felt things were a bit hectic, you managed to get everything done that needed to. Good for you. : )
ReplyDeleteAt least your laundry was clean. The clothes basket around here is usually saying, wash me!
ReplyDeleteYou're right, Nellie - you have to balance the busy work with some relaxation and pleasantness - we have to remember that we're human! You're doing good!
ReplyDeleteI got the calendar today! Thank you, Nellie!!! xoxo
See Nellie? You got a lot done and you still had time for tea! You are amazing. Susan
