First Sunday in Advent....

Bishop Desmond Tutu has said these words - "Do your little bit of good where you are.  It's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world."

This is the first Sunday of Advent, the time leading up to the celebration of the birth of Christ.  What an appropriate time to think of Bishop Tutu's words!

The Mission Focus for December 1, 2013 in the 2013 UMW Prayer Calendar is Project Crossroads in the United States.

May this Sunday be one of special blessings for you!

  6. I have also heard "bloom where you're planted" when folks are being restless and unhappy where they are. I think the Bishop has been very wise. Enjoy this beautiful, sunny day, Sister! :-)
