.....began on Friday evening when The Husband and I went to the presale at the Children's Clothing Exchange at our church. Those who are scheduled to work shifts for the sale are given the opportunity to shop early.
Many toys, as well as children's clothing filled the gym. |
We also made our first-ever Costco shopping trip.
Also a box of oranges (24), a bag of a dozen pears, and a quart of pickled beets! |
There were a couple of basketball games that were of great interest here.
Yay for the men's team! |
Not so good for our Lady Vols.:-( |
Incidentally, Texas A&M went on to win the tournament, defeating Kentucky on Sunday evening.
The Husband advanced all of our clocks on Saturday after dinner.
It just keeps keeping time, regardless.:-) |
There was some time for reading.
I do occasionally read fiction!:-) |
And, the week-end included worship.
Continuing the sermon series during Lent. |
Plus, we enjoyed talking to City Girl on the telephone!
I hope you have had a good week-end and are looking forward to a good week ahead. Have you spied any leprechauns? This is their season, you know.:-) Perhaps there are some around here. If I find any, I will share pictures with you.:-)
Thank you for reading. I appreciate your comments.
LOVE how you *documented* the weekend, with photos! Cool! Super-cool!
ReplyDeleteSome fiction. Hooray! I'm quite deep in a fiction rut, with some veering off, into non-fiction. Keeps things interesting. :-)
"Auntie"
You certainly did have a busy weekend, but that does not surprise me at all!!! You are busier in your "retirement" than I was when I was working!! :-) I suppose we can take a bit of consolation in knowing that our Lady Vols were defeated by the team who went on to win the SEC championship, and we hope for a better season next year! Great for those men, too, and I hope they can continue their winning ways.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Monday! :-)
Lots of toys to choose from there, I love picking through jumble sales.
ReplyDeleteYou had a busy weekend, we did our first lawn cutting of the year, 72 degrees yesterday, perfect !

You always find the best adventures. What a great sale. Good for you. Have fun shopping at Costco. It's a lovely and dangerous place.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great weekend in your family, Nellie. The Meth. Church in Hendersonville, TN has those Consignment Sales --and they make BOO-KOOS of money...
ReplyDeleteWe were hiking on Saturday during the basketball games --but my son kept texting me with the scores... Sorry about the Lady Vols --but glad that the men won.
We had a wonderful birthday weekend...
