The week-end for me was rather busy. I attended a Conference UMW Sisters in Service retreat, the first conference-wide event for this calendar year.

There were 100 UMW members who attended, bringing non-perishable food to contribute to the local food pantry of the town where we were meeting, about an hour away from here.

This day will be a busy one here as I am preparing lunch for the adult day care center at my church for Tuesday. I am also going to be giving a program for a Circle meeting, not mine, in the middle of the day.
It has been really cold here, with snow flurries/snow showers off and on and no accumulation. I hope you are staying warm and safe where you are.
Thank you for reading. I appreciate your comments.
Hi Nellie, It did not get out of the 20's all weekend. Brrrrrr... We had snow also--with some accumulation. Hopefully this week will be warmer. At least, I see the sunshine this morning. YEAH.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a wonderful retreat. I used to enjoy those retreats (conference and district ones).. Love the theme and logo...
Hugs,
Betsy
Great photos, to take us along with you, to your meeting.
ReplyDeleteCollecting non-perishable foods! Wonderful project. Can always be used by the local helpers of those in need.
Aren't we lucky? To be the ones giving. Rather than the ones, in need. Yes we are. And it helps to remember this... Me'thinks... :-)
Hugs...
I bet you never get bored Nellie! You always have so much going on, it looks like a very nice time. Have a nice week.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely worship center, and a most worthy gift to the community! Take care, and enjoy your day of activity. You amaze me, as always!! :-)

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely banner and a wonderful thing to be part of.
ReplyDeleteHi Nellie....
ReplyDeleteStill cold here, too. More snow predicted. This is the time of winter that I want to say, "Enough already."
Thanks for all your sweet visits and comments to my blog. Love them. Susan
