On a recent trip to North Carolina, this was seen at the Welcome Area.
As you can see, colors of fall were at a minimum. After this rain that we have had already this week-end - and the cooler temperatures that are predicted (38 degrees for a low temperature on Sunday morning) - more color may begin appearing in the leaves on these very green trees.
It is difficult to know whether we should follow football or baseball at this time of year.:-) Which is your favorite sport? Do you have a favorite team playing this week-end?
Sending wishes for a good week-end to you!
Thank you for reading. I really appreciate your comments.
Those are certainly welcoming sights for a welcome center! Yes, it will be cold in the morning, but I'm ready with my lined blazers to go over whatever outfit I choose for church in the morning. Of course, my favorite sport at this time of year is college football, specifically the TN Vols!! GO BIG ORANGE!!! Have a super Saturday, Sister!
ReplyDeleteNellie, I am thinking, we better enjoy the flowers while we can. It is getting chilly . I have to say I like baseball better than football. I wish the series would not go so late into the year. It's college football time to me. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeletep.s. get your sweater ready.Brr.
we are having our first chilly day today! i love it. i am hoping to get some pics of good fall colors this next week.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a wonderful time, and enjoyed some beautiful scenery! We wil be heading to the monthly fish fry! We're not much into sports..but the grands sure are!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Gert
It still looks like summer there. Beautiful flowers to welcome visitors.
ReplyDeleteSorry Nellie, I'm not into sports either. I guess my life has been so filled to the brim, there was never any room for sports except when the kids were young.
Have a great weekend.
JB
That looks very welcoming!
ReplyDeleteNot much for sports, but if forced to choose... baseball.
Not a lot of Fall color there yet-but it sure is pretty at that welcoming area.
ReplyDeleteWell- you know coming from Green Bay we are all about the Green Bay Packers for football...and all about the Milwaukee Brewers for baseball.
Have a wonderful day- xo Diana
I don't have a favorite sport, but Willy Dunne Wooters follows West Virginia football. They're playing Kansas State today. Guess who is from Kansas! (We'll beat WV's butt.)

Janie
I always feed so bad about that question. In my younger years, I followed them all, fervently. Once I got married though, my husband and his family, didn't do sports. They built things.
ReplyDeleteSo I became what I am now, not even knowing anything about what teams are winning or loosing. Well except horse racing which I never stopped following. :)
Looks like summer yet down that way.
ReplyDeleteIt has turned cool here today and there were a few snow flakes mixed in with the rain.
Oh forgot to answer your question. We don't follow any sports at all.
ReplyDeleteHi Nellie , busy and I have some catching up to do . What a great trip you had and the pictures are beautiful , I like baseball very much but my dear football is my game . Is there any other game as great as football .
ReplyDeleteHubby brother once played with the Dallas Cowboys as quarterback with Troy Akins , but I was all football long before meeting hubby . I will root for your Vols . Have a great weekend . ;-D

What beautiful pictures. The flowers still look lovely too. Ours will get the kiss of death tonight. Since we live in Green Bay (the home of the Packers) of course we follow that team. We're excited because they had a big win Thursday night too.
