These flowers were in bloom along I-40, just to the west of Asheville.
There were some interesting clouds around, and a drizzle of rain was their "gift."
The beauty in the median of Route #276.
The signs of autumn's presence were spotty, though mornings were cool.
How is autumn progressing where you are?
Thank you for reading. I really appreciate your comments.
Such lovely photos!!! I really like the first one, where that little clump of red shines in the midst of all the white! As you know, our temps are supposed to drop drastically tonight and tomorrow, following some predicted rain today. I THINK I'm ready for Fall....time will tell! Have a fantastic Friday, Sister!
ReplyDeleteWe are in full blown autumn color in West MI! It's awfully rainy and tomorrow's high is only going to reach 48. Not real fun for marching band competitions on Saturday. Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteLooks like Autumn is coming to Asheville/Junaluska area. We are headed to Maggie Valley on the 20th to do some leaf-looking...
ReplyDeleteWe finally got some good rain last night--1.5 inches. AND--it's going down into the 30's soon... Yeah!!!!! I'm ready for some 'real' FAll weather here.
Hugs,
Betsy

The last time I was on either of those roads, it wasn't nearly that lush.
ReplyDeleteAutumn seemed to arrive overnight! I have a lovely maple tree across the road that was only half-colored when I left for Maine on Friday. Sunday it was 100% and glowing! Love this time of year.
ReplyDeleteNice set of photos. Those clouds look a bit ominous.
ReplyDeleteLots of color around where I live and lots of leaves already on the ground. Time for raking.
Such great colors along the road. It makes travelling so much more fun. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHugs,

What beautiful colors. Autumn might arrive here in December or January. I consider it autumn when the leaves change color and fall from my tree in the front yard.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
