Under construction....

Without any delay, let’s get right to dessert!

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Brownies!  Yes, it’s time for all things pumpkin!

Topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzled with chocolate syrup made a delightful brownie sundae!

It was a fitting conclusion to a meal that featured this....

Pumpkin Sage Ravioli with Browned Butter Sauce and Walnuts!  I will confess that I purchased store bought frozen pumpkin ravioli, and it was a great time saver, in addition to being delicious!  We opted for lima beans this time, and they were a great go-along.

There are signs of fall out and about here now.  Do you like the change of seasons from summer to fall?

Once again, I encourage you to be safe, and stay well!  Be especially careful if you have to be out and about.  We continue to follow that “safe at home” policy here and are dependent on Instacart for delivery in addition to curbside pickup and bank and pharmacy drive through.  We are as eager as everyone to be able to have this pandemic behind us!  It would be a tremendous help if everyone recognized the importance of following good health guidelines!

Honoring Native Americans/Indigenous Peoples on this day!  If you are still employed, perhaps you have a holiday today.  I hope your day is a good one!

  1. Oh, Sister! That dessert looks and sounds absolutely scrumptious! I have a friend who makes pumpkin chocolate chip bread to sell at a school carnival, and it's always the first to disappear. I'm sure that pumpkin ravioli was also good, and I'll eat lima bean any day of the week! I still avoid going out unless it's necessary, and I do so with mask on my face and wipes in my walker basket "just in case." Have a lovely afternoon. Love you!

  2. Everything looks delicious. I had Instacart deliver my groceries once and sadly, it did not go well. Favorite Young Man and I put on our masks and go out for groceries. Other than that, we don't leave the house much.

    Love,
    Janie

  3. I'm enjoying seeing your lovely creations at the table, Nellie. These are times that try try men's souls....I wish everyone would stop ignoring the Pandemic---I do wonder what folks are thinking. Until we all follow the science I'm afraid this virus will go on and on.

  4. Yes, pumpkin season is upon us, well you, not here so much as the noble pumpkin has to find its way past just being for Hallowe'en with most people. Sad, but true. I get my groceries delivered but only go out into the village once a month to the Pharmacy. Stay safe, Nellie.
    Hugs, Deb

  5. Love seeing your beautiful baked goods. I'm dreaming of the days when I can bake again. Stocked up on my favorite low carb baking blends. Take care and stay safe.
