The best gifts....

What is that saying?  "The best gifts come from the heart."  "The best gifts are homemade."  Well, I'm not sure about the saying, but there is no doubt about this:

My name was on the tag.

This is what I found when I unwrapped it!  Country Man has been busy once again with his wood-working!  This is made from pine with a cedar handle.  I believe all the magazines that come to this address will fit into this!:-)  I think it is destined to become a family heirloom!

Happy week-end!

  3. Hand and heart-crafted gifts are the best! You are fortunate to have someone that uses both, to create wonderful heirlooms that can be passed down.

  6. What a lovely gift. A homemade gift is the best. Reminds me of a doughboy bowl. Happy New year.

  9. That is something to hand down to your children some day in the far off future. Or me. You can put me in the will. I'll inherit.

    Love,

  10. I hope your husband has signed and dated this piece of carved wood for posterity.
It will make a lovely heirloom but in the meantime a nice home for your magazines.
