Happy Tuesday to you! Have you had a good beginning to the week?
The season is moving along, surprising us with its beauty. I was excited to see these:
|
Petunias bloomed while I was away! |
|
We love this lily! |
|
Another lily! |
|
And - another one! |
|
|
The Husband was excited to tell me about something in the garden.
|
Do you see that green tomato? |
|
There is a green tomato on another plant! |
|
|
This was also a surprise!
|
A solitary eggplant! |
|
|
We customarily do not have good luck with eggplant, so I am hoping this year will be different.
Things are as green around here as if it were the middle of summer. After the cool temperatures of last week and the week-end, we are expecting the next few days to be more summer-like.
What is growing where you are? Do you have a vegetable garden?
Thank you for reading. I really appreciate your comments.
Nellie I really want to have a vegetable garden someday! My grandfather had one every summer and I used to spend hours and hours helping him in it when I was little :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to have some tomatoes if we had any space for them, but the apartment does not seem to lend itself to that kind of space. Your garden is looking really good so far, and I'm sure you'll have a lot to work with before long! Those flowers are all beautiful as well! Have a terrific Tuesday, Sister!
ReplyDeleteA real tomato! I love tomatoes!
ReplyDeleteThe lilies are beautiful too! I hope the eggplant does well. I have never tasted eggplant. You should post a recipe for us and I will give it a try.
Nellie, I am amazed by the tomato. I love the red petunias too. That is what I wanted this year on my porch. Soon, you'll be eating from the garden. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteYes Nellie, looks like everything is popping in your garden.
ReplyDeleteOur Lilies are not yet in bloom, but beautiful green foliage.
Thank you for sharing.

Katie and I gave up trying to grow anything in our usual container garden. On the ground herds of deer destroy our plants and in the containers where we had such great luck, raccoons started climbing up and destroying the plants there. So, we enjoy your garden. xo
ReplyDeleteHi Nellie, It's me again...I would love for you to go check out this blog...Bee Lady from Hilltop Farm.. Cindy got a swarm of bees today. It's an interesting post. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteWe hope to start working on a garden this weekend. Fingers crossed we are done with hard frosts! Chris is building Fort Knox around the garden to keep out Mr. Groundhog and the Deer families. Good luck with egg plant.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like Blooms!
ReplyDeleteWE don't have a vegetable garden any more. Used to about 20 years ago, but then our yard became too shady and the work more than we wanted to do. We have a local Farmer's Market that we visit instead. Some of my flowers are out of the ground, but nothing blooming yet except tulips.
ReplyDeleteHi Nellie...So glad your garden and flowers are blooming! They look great.
ReplyDeleteHave lots of plants here and flowers but no veggies. Go to the farmers' market for those!
Thanks for all your visits. Susan
Oh- And you have green growing things and we can't put a plant outside yet. Lucky gal!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have never grown eggplant. xo Diana
It is nice to see the colorful blossoms. Tomatoes are good. We too have vegetable garden in our house!
ReplyDeleteYour garden is so advanced as compared to mine.
ReplyDeleteMy spring bulbs are all blooming now and the trees are starting to green up.I've mowed the lawn once and it's in need of another cut today if it dries up enough. We've had lots of rain this week.
My daughter grow eggplants every year.
Take care and watch your garden grow.
Hugs,
JB
I do hope your eggplant grows. I never thought my family would eat eggplant and it has now become one of their favorites. After growing my own, I really got spoiled.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are so pretty, Wow, you have little tomatoes, that is so nice.
Your garden looks wonderful.
