Daylilies....

Many of you have mentioned daylilies, so I thought of all of you on Friday.

Oh, dear! I don't know why it is sideways!

We went to the Daylily Festival at an area farm on Friday.

First blooms of many more to see!

Well-attended!

Isn't this lovely?

A fountain in the middle of the pond.

Wonderful gazebo!

There are many more pictures, and I will post them another day.

Hopefully you will be able to continue following this blog.  With all the talk about Bloglovin', I'm just not sure what is going to happen.  It appears that I must have a Facebook account for that, and I will not be setting up one of those.

Thank you for reading.  I really appreciate your comments.

  1. What beautiful images. I love lilies. The tiger lilies grew all along the roadsides of our farm when I was a kid- xo Diana

  2. Our daylilies just started blooming too Nellie.

I love when they bloom in masses. So dramatic! I only have a few. I'll be adding more though:)

Thank you so much for sharing...

P.S. I don't think you need to join Facebook to signup for Bloglovin. I think you can just use an email address. I'm not signing up for it but I know many others are. There are also a few other choices too.

P.S P.S:) The Picnic Game round-up is posted. If you get a chance, drop by for some goodies!

  3. HAPPILY, my old way of seeing new posts, via my private blog (My Little Posse) is still working!

I also joined Bloglivin', just in case.

You don't have to be on Facebook, to join.

Good luck to all of us!!!! With this latest *change.*

  4. Lovely daylillies. I love them planted in mass of colors. That's how I plant mine. They are one of my favourite flowers. My Stella Del Oro are in bloom but the rest are just getting their buds.

I'm on Bloglovin and so are millions of people. I hope it's not a bad thing.

    Happy 4th of July

  8. This place is known all over E TN for their daylilies and other events throughout the spring and summer. I have a couple of other friends who attended that festival, and they enjoyed seeing all the varieties as well. As for your other concern, I know NOTHING about blogging, but I can say with some assurance that Facebook is not a bad thing! It is a great way to keep in touch with folks who are a LONG way from you, and folks whom you haven't seen in a very long time. Have a wonderful first of July!

  12. Hi Nellie, We are back after 2 weeks off. Hope you have had a couple of great weeks. I did post a blog today.

Did you go to Oakes Daylily Festival? We almost went --but couldn't work it out... We order all of our daylilies from them --and they are AWESOME.. We probably have at least 40 of their daylilies in our yard..

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  15. Hi, Nellie. :) Lovely photos!

I've never joined Facebook but signed up with Bloglovin. I have it set up so that the new blog posts of the blogs I follow are emailed to me in a big list, twice daily. It works. I liked Google Reader sooooo much more, but what can you do.

    Have a good week, ♥

    Val

(And I've fallen behind with comments--I'll add one to another post of yours in a minute. 'Catching up tonight. xox♥)

  16. Beautiful flowers. I don't have a facebook account either, but you can still have Bloglovin. Now my google reader is still working! Strange, but I noticed that less people are checking my latest post. I think it has to do with the system change. I'm not sure. But my google reader is still working.
