Want more pink?

A few days ago, I posted a few pictures of pink around the house.  Today, there is even more!:-)

The dining room table.

The china is Strawberry Fair by Johnson Brothers.  The clear glasses are some handed down from my maternal grandmother, while the pink ones were brought home from antiquing.  All I need to do is add the flatware, and we will be able to have lunch!

If you can't make it for lunch, perhaps you will consider coming later for an afternoon snack.  I will put on the kettle for tea, or even serve some pink lemonade!

The tray is ready in the sunroom!

There is this lovely violet that is still gracing us with blooms!

In the spirit, too!

I am amazed that our Christmas poinsettia is still looking this nice.

It looks very healthy!

Particularly since we really don't give it any ultra-special care!  We have never done the planting outside or hiding in a dark place with the poinsettias, yet we had some that stayed fairly healthy all year, then bloomed again in December.

Monday was an absolutely beautiful day here!  We were able to leave our doors open all day, and the A/C didn't come on a single time!  That is most unusual for this time of year around here.  Also, we had a day with NO RAIN!  Have I mentioned that we are already above the average rainfall total for the entire YEAR?

The Husband received a very special package via Fed Ex today - hopefully the correct part needed to repair the cultivator.  He will find out this morning if it is the right one.

I encountered a few "glitches" on Monday as I attempted to make my rounds to visit some of you.  I am not sure what the problem was, but I am a bit behind in my usual visits and comments.  I installed some updates, so I hope that has taken care of the problem.

Have a terrific Tuesday!

Thank you for reading.  I really appreciate your comments.

  2. You do have a great collection of pink items, and they look beautiful in your lovely home! That violet amazes me as much as the poinsettia....I wish I had a nickel for every flower I have killed! My green thumb seems to have left my hand a couple of decades ago. Oh, well! We have enjoyed some really gorgeous days, and we truly appreciate the break in the rainfall. Have a wonderful Tuesday!

  3. What a pretty pink Tuesday this is. I love the gorgeous dishes and table setting and everything pink.

My poinsettias are still blooming and I keep them from year to year but they are getting too big now to I put them out on the deck as my sunroom was over taken by large plants. They don't get special treatment either and I never move them in the dark either.

    Have a great Tuesday.
    Hugs,
    JB

  9. What a lovely tablescape. You can never go wrong with pink. How lovely that you have your granmother's glasses. I would love to join you. Eating lunch at my desk doesn't look nearly as appealing.

  10. I'm partial to pinks and I'm loving yours! Now, if I could just miraculously become a great cook, to have something to put on them. Unfortunately, that would require more practice than I have the energy for.

I've never had a Poinsettia to last this long... I love them --but about Feb., I have to throw them away... Yours is amazing.

We haven't had our AC on one single time all summer yet... Amazing, isn't it?
