More daylilies....

Happy Tuesday to you!  Is  your week going well thus far?

As I mentioned in the last post, there are more pictures taken at the Daylily Farm.

Home of the owners.

Not just daylilies!

Another gorgeous view.

Can you believe how many there are here?
Other perennials are also available!

I failed to get a picture of it, but there were "hayrides" being given as one way to tour the farm.

Not only are there daylilies for sale - and they dig them up for customers right there on the spot - but there are also other perennials available for sale.

This farm has been in the family for a number of years.  It is a special place to visit, even when the Festival is not in progress.  The parents of the present operator are friends I made during college years.:-)

We just keep receiving rain here.  At present, we are almost 16 inches above our normal rainfall totals for this point in the year!   How much rain have you had where you are?

Thank you for reading.  I really appreciate your comments.

  1. We have a man who sells these flowers, etc., here... But the place is not so lovely as this place. :-)

Wow, look at that home! Beautiful.

Ohhh Hayrides! Now you *must* go back and take a Hayride! :-))) For me. :-)

  2. How pretty. It looks like a such a nice place to visit. So much rain. I just can't imagine that much.
We have only had something like 1.2 inches of rain for this year.
It is terrible and in a normal year we only receive about 10 inches.
I hope that next year we might have a year like yours. :)
    Have a lovely day.

  4. That us just an awesome farm. I would be there all the time. They are charging $5 for starts of iris and lilies here. Just think, I give mine away!
We are not as wet as you are, but we are working on it and more rain is in the forecast for today and the next week. Its keeping it all green and we are not having to water. Might need to pick the green beans in a canoe though.

  6. What a nice place to visit.... and they even dig some daylilies for the customers. How nice.

We are having so much rain here too and I feel real bad for those who don't get any. I really feel bad about those firefighters who lost their lives fighting the fires. So sad...

    Hugs,

  7. Beautiful flowers.
We have rain every day but it doesn't last that long.
Trying to get some blog visits in. Looking forward to getting in the house and being able to get on line whenever I want to. : )

  8. I love to visit farms like this one.
    What gorgeous flowers, and homestead.
Takes lots of hard work to put together a farm such as this.

  9. I cannot add anything to the comments others have made about the beauty of this farm. I have never been there in person, but I have read of its reputation for many years, and I have friends who enjoy this festival each year. Thank you for sharing all the loveliness with us! Oh, I suppose our rainfall totals are very close to yours, too. The big tree in front of the apartment has lots of green leaves just hanging down, and when it rains, some of the branches nearly touch the ground! It's keeping the mowers busy, too! Hope you're having a great day, Sister! :-)
