January's gifts....

A clear blue sky......

Monday afternoon in our backyard.

A poinsettia still looking cheery....

Happy in front of the window.

A day of sunshine....

Down our street....

......and up the street!

Greens still in the garden....

Hanging on....

......and a husband who had gathered some of the greens, cleaned them, and cooked them - ready and waiting for me when I returned from a day-long UMW Committee Meeting in a neighboring county! What a treat!

Thank you for reading.  I appreciate your comments.

  1. Well, I got that silly error message again! I do agree that we have had some wonderful sunshine these past couple of days, and they are much appreciated after all the rain/gloom that we have had recently. As for those greens, your husband is wonderful at growing and preparing them, and I'm getting hungry now! :-) Have a great day!

  3. Hi Nellie...Thanks for stopping by. Wow, greens in the garden already? Amazing. Here, the ground is frozen rock solid and covered with lots of snow! ha! Gonna be awhile before anything green pops up.

Take care and have a super good day. Susan

  7. Crazy weather... I'm not sure we're going to get much winter this year again -like last year. I do enjoy the sunshine though---but I feel sorry for hubby. He has to get the container roses (about 16 of them) out of the garage back out into the yard. They did not go dormant this year since it hasn't stayed cold for long. AND--now that it's warmer, they are beginning to grow/sprout.... Guess he'll have to move them back in IF we ever get any really cold weather.....Geeeeesssshhh!!!!! ha

    Hugs,
    Betsy
