On this Sunday, I'd like to present this quote from "The World According to Mister Rogers," a book given to me for Christmas in 2003 by someone who follows this blog! She actually had a birthday this past Thursday, so I'd like to wish her a belated happy birthday!
"Some days, doing 'the best we can' may still fall short
of what we would like to be able to do, but life isn't perfect -
on any front - and doing what we can with what we have
is the most we should expect of ourselves or anyone else."
I send wishes for a blessed Sunday to everyone!
Nellie, That is a wonderful quote.A good rule to live by. Sunday blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteA quote that is so very true.
ReplyDeleteMay your Sunday be truly blessed.
Nellie- Mr.Rogers was a wonderful, humble man...a man whose praises were never loudly sung. My kids all grew up with him-he was a kind and gentle soul. Great quote- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteGreat quote, from a great man! My kids grew up with his calm demeanor, which was a pleasant change from the way it normally was around this house, with four kids in it.
ReplyDeleteabsolutely love that book...it resides next to my bed!!!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful quote from a man who apparently lived what he wrote. It's not the same in the neighborhood without him. Have a blessed Sunday yourself! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is a great quote!
ReplyDeleteGreat quote, Nellie... I know that you made your friend SMILE by mentioning her...
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a blessed Sunday.
Hugs,
Betsy
