Thursday already! It isn't long until the week-end. Are you thinking about special plans?
It is taking awhile to "travel" through the first full day of More Than A Vacation, but this stop will be worth the wait!
We made a visit to the Abingdon Olive Oil Company and enjoyed tasting!
This is a listing of the varieties of olive oils and balsamic vinegars available for tasting/purchase.
Isn't this a classy way to "bag" the stoppers that customers purchase? The bag was then tied onto the handle of this bag that held the oil/vinegar.
Yes, we just had to come home with some of each!:-)
Not only does the shop have oils and vinegars, there are also other items for sale.

I have a few more pictures of another place or two around Abingdon. They are below, and I think this will finish our tour of Abingdon.

Another dress shop. |
I believe this completes our
day in Abingdon. We returned later, and that will be the subject of another post in a few days.
Thank you for reading. I really appreciate your comments.
There really is a lot to see and do in that sleepy little town! I think you made some wise purchases, and I'm sure you'll look forward to going back. Have a wonderful day, Sister!

ReplyDeleteNellie, I love all the shops . The packing of the oils and stoppers is very nice. Hope your day is a great one, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteThanks for giving us such a nice tour. In Door County (WI) they have a shop there that imports special olive oils. It is so fun to go in there and try something new. I never knew olive oils came in so many flavors either.
ReplyDeleteHow fun. I would never think of tasting oils. That would be fun and interesting. It looks like a very nice street and what nice buildings to visit.
ReplyDeleteI really like balsamic vinegar on salads.
ReplyDeleteA great looking store.
The tavern reminds me of England or Scotland.
Lovely photos and the oil and vinegar shops looks fun to explore. You'll have to let us know which recipes you use these in.
ReplyDeleteFor a moment I thought it was Abingdon, UK. Lovely pictures.
ReplyDeleteI came home with three bottles from the Olive Oil Company this time :)
ReplyDeleteA true work of art on the presentation of the variety of oils and vinegar. Enjoy your purchases.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
JB
