In August....

Saturday is here!  Hopefully you have some good plans for something that will be enjoyable.

The other day, I went out walking around our property and took some pictures of "August."

Some flower seeds I planted actually came up - and there are blooms!

Although something "chomped" on the leaves of the David Austin rose, there has been new growth!

The birds have been busy!  This is what The Husband calls "Broom Corn" among the blooming chives.

And - here is another stalk of that "Broom Corn!"

Crepe Myrtle in the back....

....and Crepe Myrtle in the front.

There are a few pears on the tree....

....and a few more blueberries to ripen.

This squash plant is still blooming!

There are watermelons!

Though you are able to see ripe tomatoes on the vine, it is also easy to tell that there will be no more from these vines this season.

The sunflowers were drooping on this day.  It was cloudy, with a chance of rain in the forecast.

Well, this has been a walk around part of our property.  Thank you for coming along with me.

I appreciate your comments.

  7. It makes me hungry to see many of these. Grandma had a pear tree and I loved her pear preserves.
