For Friday....

Happy Friday to you!  Has it been a busy week?  Hopefully you have some week-end plans that will give you a break from the usual.

Today, I want to mention another author of children's books.  Have you ever read anything by James Howe?  He wrote books such as Bunnicula, Howliday Inn, and The Celery Stalks at Midnight.  Munchomom, especially, enjoyed reading these books, and I would read Bunnicula to my class each year.

He also wrote these:

With a cast of animal characters such as Howie, Harold, and Chester, you can imagine the escapades that went on in the Monroe household!

Actually, someone who reads this blog has a family kinship with this author!  She has kept us up to date through the years.

Incidentally, her wedding anniversary is coming up soon!  Happy Anniversary to you, GW!:-)

Have a great day!

Thank you for reading.  I really appreciate your comments.

  2. It's been ages since I read kids books. My kids are from age 47 to 30. I read some to my grandkids when they were little but never saw these books. My two latest grandkids lives in Ontario so I don't get to read to them.

I'm about to become a great grandmother in September.

  4. I am getting to the point of wondering if we just have the same taste in books. I read these out loud too and me and the kids laughed ourselves silly in some parts. Then they went on themselves to read all of his books. My kids have enjoyed each and every one. How nice that you are able to keep up with his life.
