The week-end is here. Do you have some good plans? I am not sure that I will work with green beans on this week-end. More about that on Monday.:-)
Thank you for reading. I really appreciate your comments.
fresh green beans in the middle of winter are a very good thing!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Nellie,
ReplyDeleteAs you know, I'm not a green bean kinda gal but, in the middle of winter, I like to make Marion green beans and potato soup. She loves it! It's a meal from my childhood and even I will enjoy a small bowl if it has freshly preserved green beans in it!
Thanks for sharing, Nellie. enjoy your weekend:)
I always admire the diligence of people who take the time to clean and break green beans, whether they freeze them or can them. These will reward your work many times later on in the year!
ReplyDeleteSince I know what your weekend will include, I'll just wish you a most happy time, and look forward to seeing your post about it! :-)
Hi Nellie....I love green (and waxed) beans.
ReplyDeleteThanks a million for all your faithful visits to my blog during my busy entertaining week. It's always wonderful to hear from you. Susan

ReplyDeleteLook at that mess of green beans!!! Makes my tummy growl!
ReplyDeleteFresh green beans sound delicious.
ReplyDeleteThey say that the green beans are healthier but we prefer the yellow ones. But this year it seems the stores and markets are full of green ones
ReplyDeleteWow. Your garden is working hard, and those green beans must be delicious. I love growing green beans...
ReplyDeleteHi Nellie , glad to know someone is snapping green beans to freeze . So many ways to cook them . Have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so good. I bet your back hurt picking all of those green beans. They are lovely though.
ReplyDeleteI love fresh green beans and since I didn't plant a vegetable garden this year I bought some from our grocery store yesterday. It's quite a big job processing the beans but you will really be glad you did when it comes time to eat them when the snow flies...
ReplyDeleteYour Grape Myrtle tree looks so pretty.
Have a great weekend.
JB
You will enjoy those green beans all winter. YUM...
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have been busy on several trips. Loved the photos of Whitetop Mtn.
Hugs,
Betsy

ReplyDeleteFresh green beans would be most welcome anytime of the year. Love them. I actually like vegetables more than fruit!!
