Last week, I shared with you some strawberries that were a gift from Munchomom and family, grown near where they live. They were good strawberries, but there is nothing better than having your own!

A couple of years ago, we set out three strawberry plants. These are the first ones to ripen on those plants this season.

More to come. |

The ripe ones were very tasty!:-) It is a good thing there are some more green ones to ripen later!:-)
Thank you for reading. I really appreciate your comments.
i have just started getting a few of those same precious gems!
ReplyDeleteOh, how wonderful!! I hope the birds and other critters will leave those luscious berries alone so you can enjoy them! They look wonderful on that plate, also! :-) See you shortly!
ReplyDeleteI love strawberries. The homegrown ones are so much sweeter than the large ones at the supermarket.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day Nellie!
I was wondering when you were going to get strawberries. You have had so much rain.
ReplyDeleteI agree nothing better than your own fruit. Have a nice day Nellie.
I love the strawberries sitting on your cute plate. My husband has some little greens ones so far. I don't eat them because of the tiny seeds. Hope you get enough to at least cover a nice scoop of ice cream. :):) xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteFresh picked... YUM!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had much success with growing my own, but every now and then I luck out at the farm stands. Enjoy your sweet berries. xo
ReplyDeleteThat is neat that you have your own strawberries, Nellie. Hope you get lots more of them!!! Fresh strawberries are so so so good.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
P.S. Love your strawberry plate also...
I have a couple of plants and they just have the blossoms on now.
ReplyDeleteI love strawberries and look forward to mine soon.
How delightful!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to have strawberries. How do you keep the weeds out of them?
ReplyDeleteOh, Nellie - your garden is something I sigh over!
