So - I got busy and sautéed the green pepper and onion....
Then I added the tomatoes and seasonings....
Finally it was ready for the best part....the cornmeal dumplings!
White Lily was once milled in my hometown, so it is not difficult to find that brand on our grocery store shelves.
This one for biscuits has become a historic recipe.

ReplyDeleteNellie, I laugh at myself...I did not know you could use cornmeal to make dumplings. That looks like a delicious meal. I fixed our lunch today...first real cooking for about a week. LOL. It was green beans, potatoes and smoked sausages. Ted loves this...it's not my fav..But I can eat it. Blessings to you, hope all is well there. xoxo, Susie

ReplyDeleteI'm sure it's delicious, but I'm allergic to onions. It was a sensitivity until recently. Now it's out-and-out swollen tongue, lips, cheeks, and burning throat because I accidentally ate a tiny piece of onion recently.
