Making lists....

Are you a list maker?  For many of my years, I was employed as an elementary school teacher.  That was definitely the time of list making for me!  In recent times, however, about the only list I make is the grocery list - and I truly depend on that one!!

Had I made a list for last week, it might have included something such as these -

-Have fresh towels in the bathroom.

๐Ÿ‘Got that one done!
- Be sure beds are ready.

๐Ÿ‘Got that one done, too!

-Bake that cake!

๐Ÿ‘Yum! Better hurry past this one!

-Set the table!

๐Ÿ‘The platter is ready and waiting for that turkey, and the place settings need flatware!

So - how did I do?  Well, the Thanksgiving guests have come and gone, and this is what I face today.

It is time to attend to the laundry, and it would appear that I have a large basket full to tackle!

Am I making a list this week?  Well, that laundry would be right at the top!  Also, it's time to start baking those cookies!

Which shape should I bake first?

Perhaps I will include addressing some cards....

They are definitely already in the house, just waiting for attention!

What about the tree?

This one was in the local bank just before Thanksgiving.  Isn't it beautiful?  Ours will not look quite like this one, though we think it will be just a lovely.

Yes, it is definitely the season of the year that making lists is helpful!  What about that one to dear old Santa?๐ŸŽ…He's making his list, too!๐Ÿ˜Š

  1. Hi Nellie, So good to see you back. I love the busy times of holidays and after is the busy times of dishes, cleaning, laundry and such. That is why I like for my daughters to have the holiday celebrations in their home...they are younger and can clean before and after better than me. LOL. Wishing you a wonderful Christmas season. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  2. I'm not as much of a list maker as I used to be, but when the kids were growing up I always had multiple lists going for all the categories of things that needed to be accomplished. I haven't put up my tree yet--perhaps tomorrow. I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving. Mine was quiet, and that's fine.

    Love,
    Janie

  3. I don't know what I'd do without my lists, Nellie! They are way too long during this holiday season. Many things need to be done, but it usually happens. And if they don't it doesn't matter to anyone but me. Lol.
Your Thanksgiving looks wonderful. And that laundry sure looks familiar. The grands want to make cookies with me and they would choose all of your pretty cutters to make yummy goodies. Have a great afternoon. xo ♥

Yes, I am a list maker too. Such a good feeling when you get to cross something off the list. : )

  5. YOu have been a busy girl. I have been doing laundry all day, too, Nellie. Last load is just ready to go in the dryer. I got quite a bit of stuff done in the last few days because I am leaving on Wednesday and won't be home until Sunday and then the countdown really starts! xo Diana

  6. Good morning, Sister! Somehow, I missed seeing this post yesterday! Perhaps I should put "Nellie's blog" on one of my lists! LOL I do make grocery lists, and whenever there's a special meal, I make lists of the dishes I plan to prepare and other items I plan to take, and that works quite well for me. Yesterday, I made a list for Walgreen's, and when I got there, I forgot to look at that list and forgot the main item I was planning to get! Yep, that list is still in my purse, and I'll definitely get that one item when I go out again! Laundry is done frequently here, and I'm really thankful for the convenience of doing it myself at home, whenever something needs to be laundered. Have a terrific Tuesday! Love you bunches!
