In the days between….

In the days between my last post and this one…..

….we had a glorious Friday morning sunrise….

….appreciated cooler temperatures….
….a perfect morning for oatmeal, topped here with dried cranberries and chopped walnuts….

….caught the hibiscus as it was closing up at the close of the day….

….viewed the moon as it became visible over the housetop….

….met (with great pleasure) this grocery store bouquet brought home by The Husband….

….and enjoyed the firepit!  The Husband actually made some toast over this fire!  The next time, we might have to have something a little more exciting.

Another week begins, and our days have moved out of the “cool” range into something more akin to summer once again.  Still exercising great care whenever we are out in public and awaiting the notice that a booster shot will be appropriate.

Be well, friends!  Stay safe!  We are always hoping for increased vaccination percentages here!  We truly believe this is the way to defeat this virus!

  1. Days filled with simple pleasures are the best! Lovely photos! We are also being VERY CAREFUL...hoping, like you, that vaccines increase and life gets back to somewhat normal. Right now...masks, no eating indoors at restaurants, and we wait for the booster! Have a great week!

  2. Well, Sister, you've shown us some glorious photos of events around your home, and I surely do appreciate those views from your end of town! I'm awaiting cooler temps, but not TOO cool. Not fond of wearing a coat, y'know. Enjoy all your home has to offer, and stay safe. Love you!

  3. Ooh, the husband is getting romantic by bringing you pretty flowers and lighting the fire pit. I can imagine roasting marshmallow on a cool evening or making some S'Mores.

    Stay well and safe.
    Hugs, Julia

  4. What a pretty Fall bouquet your husband brought back from the store. That is a very pretty sky photo, and I'm glad it's getting a little cooler there. Dried cranberries and walnuts sounds delicious on your oatmeal. I sometimes put pecans and blueberries in there, Yummy. Your fire pit looks nice and cozy.

Have a good September week, Nellie.

ps.....the vegetables I cooked on the stove with a little butter. It did taste like a stir fry though. I put all the vegetables over rice. I make it with chicken, pork, or sausage. I always add onions, cause onions make everything taste better.
