More James Herriott....

Several days ago, I shared some books by James Herriott.  It was a rather hurried post, and I didn't show you all the ones I had intended to share.

One of the books in the other post was illustrated by Ruth Brown as well.

Really realistic illustrations.

This one is about a dog.

More of Ruth Brown's illustrations.

There are books I have not shown on the blog.  "The Christmas Day Kitten" is one.  I think it is my favorite.:-)

What have I been reading?  In the past two weeks, I have completed "I Am Hutterite" and "thinandbeautiful.com," both books from the UMW Reading List for 2013.  Everyday I read from "Morning Coffee With James," and I have "How Coffee Saved My Life" to read next.

The week-end is just around the corner.  I hope you have plans for something that is enjoyable.

Thank you for reading.  I really appreciate your comments.

  1. I'm amazed that you have time to read, with all the other things you do to fill your days! I hope your weekend will be MOST enjoyable! As for me, I plan to do a lot of resting, since this week has been busier than most, and we know that I'm a lazy bum, anyway! :-) Have a great Friday, Sister!

  9. Yes, that's my favorite one, too. Wish that I could find it as a single story and not part of a storybook. I've not read either of the ones you've shown here (except in the original books). They do lend themselves so well to stories for children. Charming illustrations by Ruth Brown, just wonderful.
