....the last two pictures being her first ever book to write 30 years ago. To celebrate that anniversary, there will be a reissue of Heart of the Home sometime this summer with new recipes added.
She has also written a trilogy! Autobiographical, they are, and written using the same handwritten style and water colors of the first one.
The first of the trilogy that she wrote actually became the third book in the series. It is really a travel guide written from events experienced while on a visit to England.
How I'd love to show you page after page of these books!!
To answer a question, though you will find recipes scattered throughout these last three books, they are not designed to be cookbooks. Instead, they are accounts of Susan Branch's life. That is an answer to a second question.:-)
As I mentioned in a recent post, her website will be able to give you some shopping fun, if you wish to place a book order. Try it at susanbranch.com and discover what other surprises are available.
The week-end is here! I hope it is a good one for you!
Thank you Nellie for spreading Susan Branch love! Have a great weekend. xo ♥ReplyDelete
Nellie, I love all the wonderful books you are showing. I also love her art. Blessings, xoxo,SusieReplyDelete
I have enjoyed her books through the years and I do have my own collection, but I was shocked that it has been 30 years!ReplyDelete
My goodness time flies doesn't it?
Her calendars are still my favorite. :) Someday I am going to show up at her little farm when she does her sale. :)
While I haven't been a follower of Susan Branch, I can see why so many people enjoy her work! I just might have to wander over to her website myself soon and see what kind of shopping trouble I can get into! LOL Have a super Saturday, Sister! Love you!ReplyDelete
I'm glad you're enjoying Susan B. books. A Fine Romance looks like a very informative book on the English country side.ReplyDelete
Have a nice weekend.
Love Susan's books, calendars etc. I found her when I was looking on-line for a cookie recipe. That was about ten years ago. I have ordered her latest book, but it will take a little while to get to Australia.ReplyDelete
Nothing is nearly as charming as the English countryside.ReplyDelete
You have her new one already, Nellie? I thought it was coming out May 1st. Yours must be one of the autographed copies, yes?ReplyDelete
I really love those beautiful colors and writing style...I have never seen such a writing style in a book before :)ReplyDelete
Hi Nellie, I love Susan Branch and have been fortunate to find a few of her books at the thrift stores! Thanks so much for showing us some of the beautiful pages and for the link. I hope you are enjoying pretty weather this weekend.ReplyDelete
