January....

The first month of 2018 is coming to a close.  In fact, by the time some of you read this, it may already be February.

January is closing much the way it began....with a full moon!

This was the view from our back door just as the moon was rising.  Very soon after this picture, some clouds began to cover it slightly.

So....while we have enjoyed this....

 .....and this.....

.....and definitely this....

....it is time to move to February decor.

Before completely leaving January, however, a celebration is in order! National Hot Chocolate Day!! Yay! How much fun to see the month out on such a pleasant note!

Topped with marshmallow fluff.....well, just because!  Yum!!

  1. I can't believe that it is the last day of January already, Nellie. It seems like just yesterday it was Christmas! That moon shot is beautiful and hot chocolate sure sounds good to me. xo Diana

  2. Nellie. Hot chocolate does sound good on these cold days. I sent a picture of a hot cocoa with marshmallows to my daughter and told , "this is what you need to relax." She sends back a picture of a big cocoa with marshmallow Minons floating on top. Cracked me up..3 of them were huge. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  5. Oh, Sister! You are so blessed to have such a wonderful view of that fabulous moon! Where we are, we'd have to go out our door, walk to the end of the sidewalk, then just MAYBE we'd be able to see the moon above the trees! Oh, well, many of my friends on FB have posted some spectacular shots, so I'll just live vicariously through them. :-) Hot chocolate is a definite possibility, but I'm afraid I've had more carbs tonight than I should, so I'll wait for another time. Enjoy February! Love you!

  6. Your pic of the moon is beautiful and the clouds finally broke here last night to see the full moon on the last day of January. A blue moon in January, a black moon in February and another blue moon in March. Have a great February!
