Well, friends. It has been a long time since I’ve posted anything on this blog. We’ve come through Christmas, New Year’s, Valentine’s Day, and numerous other occasions worthy of celebrating.
We were on amaryllis watch here in December.
Are you able to see that there are three stem possibilities for blossoms? One was very, very short! This is what we have from that one short stem now!
It has grown and is going to give us blossoms in February! This was the first time I’ve had one with a waxed bulb, and I wondered how it would produce. The Valentine’s Day roses are still looking lovely!
Mardi Gras is February 21. That calls for a King Cake!
First time to use this recipe, and we were happy with the results!
Sending good wishes to you!
So nice to hear from you. :) The flowers sure are pretty.
ReplyDeleteYour Amaryliss is such a pretty red color. Yes, Mardi Gras today. The King Cake looks Yummy. The girls bake one every now and then when they celebrate the holiday. I hope you are doing well. It was nice to see a post from you again Nellie. ; )

You intrigue me with your mention of a King Cake. I'm not familiar with it but it looks delicious. It's hard to think we're already seeing into March this week. The days sure have flown by this winter.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a beautiful week ahead, Nellie.

Well, Sister, I finally got my Google account straightened out! YAY!! Your flowers are all gorgeous. You inherited the green thumb that your grandmother had, and it slipped right past me! Love you!
